3-5 Years - The Billy Goats

Our "Billy goats" are encouraged to engage in a balance of adult initiated and child led play in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage.

At meal times children are encouraged to help themselves to food and choose their own variety of healthy food.

Children also have the opportunity to use a mix of indoor and outdoor environments which are safe and secure yet challenging.

Indoors, children are introduced to early reading, writing and number skills. They take part in imaginative play and role acting.

Outdoors they are introduced to the obstacle course, planting of vegetables and flowers. They groom and feed the nursery pony and play in the paddock. They accompany their key worker on nature walks.
