About Us

School House Nursery is situated in rural settings in the village of Holmpton. As the name suggest the original building was the location of the Headmasters house alongside the old village school, and its original facade still stands. With a large garden and stables housing several horses the children are cared for in idyllic surroundings. We operate, by arrangement, a courtesy pick up and drop off service to Withernsea and its infant school

The nursery in its current form was opened in June 2007 and is licensed by Ofstead to accommodate 18 children, aged from birth to 5 years, at any one session. Our children are cared for in three separate areas.

Bunnies Room ( Toddlers-under 3)
Billy Goats Room (Pre School-under 5)

Every room has appropriate furniture and equipment creating a stimulating environment for the children. Our approach is to have resources accessible to the children at all times, allowing them to make choices and promoting child led learning through play. Full details of each rooms activities are shown in their section of our website.

Children will benefit from the day to day activities we provide, and parents are invited to join in whenever their busy schedules allow. In each room children are encouraged to work and play as a group to encourage social awareness and as individuals to promote self confidence.

The Nursery is registered to provide 12.5 hours a week of Government Funded Sessions for three and four year olds. We also accept Nusery Vouchers and payment directly from employers. Please ask for more details.
